We seek to appoint an experienced and collaborative Finance Business Partner to join the Finance Department, working across campuses in a full time, ongoing role.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a finance professional with strong analytical capability and stakeholder engagement skills to provide high quality financial advice and decision support across the School. Partnering closely with academic and operational leaders, the Finance Business Partner plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and financial analysis that supports strategic planning and long‑term sustainability.
Working collaboratively within the Finance team, this role delivers meaningful insights, promotes sound financial governance and builds financial capability across the organisation, contributing to informed decision making in a complex, multi campus environment.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Partnering with a portfolio of academic and operational leaders to provide strategic financial advice and decision support
Leading budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the School’s strategic objectives
Delivering timely and accurate management reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights
Developing financial models, scenario analysis and business cases to support key initiatives
Promoting strong financial governance, compliance and accountability across the School
Building financial capability among stakeholders through clear communication and guidance
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in a finance business partnering or management accounting role
Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem solving skills
The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
High levels of commercial acumen, attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills
A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualification
A Current Victorian Working with Children Check (Employment) and National Police Check
Experience working in a school or similar complex organisation will be highly regarded.
